It seems that everything that we ate in childhood was both tastier, more aromatic, and sweeter! ... Today I suggest you plunge into your childhood sensations, which I am sure we can survive by eating baked apples in the oven with sugar. I think your parents or grandmothers made you such a dessert. In my family I often bake apples, experiment with filling: I add raisins, nuts, coconut, zest or candied fruit, trying to find the most perfect combination. However, as the classic said: “Everything ingenious is simple,” therefore I will share the ingenious in its simplicity recipe for baked apples stuffed with sugar and cinnamon, this combination, as everyone knows, is a classic.

You can take any baking apples, but it is better that they all be the same size and preferably of the same grade (to be sure that all the fruits are cooked at the same time). Preparation does not take more than 5-10 minutes, so the oven should be preheated in advance to put the apples in an already hot oven. Well, let's cook apples in the oven with sugar.

Ingredients:

Apples - 4 pcs.;

Sugar - 50 g

Cinnamon - 1 tsp;

Butter - 1 tbsp. l .;

Water - 200 ml.

Recipe.

In order to cook baked apples, first of all, you need to wash the fruits. Dry the fruit with a paper towel. With a knife with a small blade, remove the top of the apple from the tail, cutting off the top in the form of a funnel. Gently with a knife and a teaspoon, we hollow out the middle in the apple, removing the core. We carefully wield a knife so as not to pierce the fruit through: even through the smallest opening of the filling can leak.

Mix sugar with ground cinnamon. With the resulting aromatic sugar filling, fill the recess in the apple. You can also put raisins, chopped nuts, and candied dried fruits in the filling. You can give free rein to imagination and prepare such a filling that can please you. But I can assure you that sugar with cinnamon is good in itself and will turn apples into a delicious treat.

We lay the apples, ready for baking, in a refractory bowl and pour freshly boiled water into this form. In fact, the boiling water that we poured will help the apples cook faster and prevent them from burning.

Another option for making fruit is to bake apple boats. To do this, cut the apple in half, carefully cut the middle with a teaspoon.

We fill in the recesses with the same mixture of sugar with cinnamon, but on top of this add one teaspoon of butter to each apple boat. Also at the bottom of the baking dish we pour boiled water, about a finger and a half.

We put the apples in the oven already preheated to 190 degrees and bake, depending on the size and variety of apples, for 30-40 minutes.

Serve the finished apples, powdered with powdered sugar. And if you want something completely different, put a ball of ice cream next to it: a combination of a burning hot apple and an invigorating cool ice cream will delight your taste buds and satisfy gastronomic desires.
