Here's what is surprising - pastries prepared according to GOST recipes have an incomparable taste - from childhood, so recognizable and so correct. I especially want to note the sand ring with nuts - a great snack for a schoolboy or student.

Delicate rings of friable dough, covered with a layer of roasted peanuts, are especially great when combined with a glass of milk or hot tea. It’s not difficult to cook them, and not for long.

15 ringlet ingredients:

  • butter 82.5% fat - 200 g
  • egg - 2 pcs.
  • wheat flour - 335 g
  • powdered sugar - 130 g
  • baking powder - 1 tsp. without slide
  • salt - a pinch
  • peanuts - 65 g
  • flour for rolling dough.

In addition, you will need a gear mold with a diameter of 8 cm and a small mold with a diameter of 2 cm (in this recipe uses a cork from mineral water).

Cooking method:

Make shortcrust pastry. To do this, remove all ingredients from the refrigerator in advance, so that they have room temperature before cooking.

Put soft butter in a bowl. Pour powdered sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat 1 egg.

Beat with a mixer at medium speed all the ingredients in a smooth homogeneous mass.

Pour the sifted flour and continue mixing with a mixer for 10-20 seconds. It should be crumbs.

Then blind the crumbs with your hands into a "ball".

Place the bowl of dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. During this time, the dough will become a little stronger and it will be easier to roll out.

Meanwhile, chop the peanuts into large crumbs. Sauté the nuts in a dry frying pan until golden brown. Make sure that peanuts are not burnt.

Take the dough out of the refrigerator and roll it into a layer 6-7 mm thick, sprinkling a little flour.

Cut the circles with a toothed tin. Then cut holes in each circle with a small tin. Roll the dough pieces again into a ball, then roll them into a layer and cut new rings again.

Cover the baking sheet with baking paper. Put the rings on the paper. Place the baking tray with the blanks in the freezer for 25 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200⁰ C.

In a bowl, beat with a fork the yolk of the second egg. You don’t need protein.

Grease the frozen rings with yolk.

Then dip each oiled ring into the nuts.

Put the rings on the baking sheet again.

Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake sand rings with nuts according to GOST for 12 minutes, not allowing them to brown.
