Doctors suspect that this antiseptic caused the death of several children. The factors that caused the premature death of babies were prematurity, lung and kidney diseases. All this, according to doctors, could be triggered by chlorhexidine.

The danger of this antiseptic is especially great for premature babies. There is evidence of cases of very serious side effects caused by this drug. In particular, burns that occurred at the site of use of an antiseptic, subsequently caused severe inflammation.
