A large number of pillows, unusual mattresses, numerous diapers and soft toys - everything goes when the long-awaited child finally appears in the crib, whom you want to wrap, wrapped in soft pillows.
As it turned out, such good intentions lead to serious, and, sometimes, sad consequences. According to the US Commission on the Safety of Consumer Goods, various soft pillows and toys that literally fill up a bed for young parents pose a threat to babies - they can simply suffocate in a dream. Statistics show that 40% of childhood deaths occur precisely for this reason. That is why pediatricians recommend that parents remove all unnecessary from the crib, and put the child on the back. And the bed itself, of course, should be without any damage.
In addition, the list of unsafe items for children’s household items included carriages and machine chairs, in which most of all children receive head injuries.
However, playpens, high chairs, including for the bathroom, were recognized as the most dangerous. Children whose parents leave them alone for a few minutes, often get seriously injured or drown.
